Finding One’s Way with Clay - 07/27/24
Finding One’s Way with Clay
Students will explore the art of working with clay as a form of meditation. Drawing inspiration from the hand building techniques of renowned artist Paulus Berensohn, students will have the opportunity to slow down, relax, and tap into their creativity. They will learn how to use nature forms to imprint and inspire their clay creations. They will also be introduced to hand building techniques for creating both round and thin forms. However, the focus of this class is not on achieving technical perfection, but rather on enjoying the zen of being with clay in a supportive community. Open to individuals of all levels and backgrounds. (photo credit: Photo of the artist, Paulus Berensohn by True Kelly)
