Mobiles and Stabiles with Chris Toy
Mobiles and Stabiles
Making mobiles and stabiles with upcycled materials including, but not limited to driftwood, seashells, feathers, and recycled wire.
When: Thursday, July 31
Instructor: Chris Toy
Ages: Teen, Adult
Bring (Optional): Needle nose pliers and your own components (small shells, pieces of driftwood "coins" and weathered branches for bases).
Location: Winter Harbor Masonic Hall, 43 School Street, Winter Harbor, Maine

Giant Head Masks
Learn basic cardboard sculpting techniques to create a giant wearable character or creature head. Must be able to use a box cutter safely and without assistance.

FULL - Upcycled Driftwood Tree Sculptures - 07/30/24
Upcycled Driftwood Tree Sculptures
We'll use garden clippers, and drills to turn driftwood branches into beautiful upcycled tabletop sculptures. Once you know how it's done the sky's the limit!

All supplies will be provided but feel free to bring your favorite two handed pruning clippers, a ruler, thin point marker, a drill with 1/8 inch bit, tabletop sized driftwood for a base, and branches as thick as your index finger.

Ever wondered how to create mobiles that spin and dance in the slightest breeze? Learn the secrets of how to connect and balance recycled driftwood and wire to make beautiful hanging mobiles and tabletop stabiles. Everyone will take their creations home!

Bring List: Needle nose pliers, Students are welcome to bring small pieces of driftwood for mobile elements. They should be between the size of half or dollar coins, any shape is fine.
