Japanese Tie-dyeing, or Shibori, is an ancient Japanese way to dye textiles, creating fabulous patterns on cloth, quilts, pillow covers, sheets – let your imagination go crazy! Utilize folding, binding, twisting, bunching, and stitching cloth, and then dyeing it.

Learn how to make creative woven patches to mend or decorate clothing using a "speedweve" style mending loom. The loom creates visible mending patches using hooks, a warp and a weft. It's fun and slightly addictive. Speedweve looms available for additional fee of $22.

Mending Ruined Pants into Impressive Style
Learn visible mending techniques and tricks to turn worn and ripped denim whole again. No matter where the problem is (crotch, knees, pocket...) we can find a way to make your pants wearable, durable, and beautiful. Bring a pair of jeans that need mending or multiple pairs if you want input on how to fix more than one problem. If you bring more than one pair they will not all be mended during the workshop but you'll leave knowing how.

In this class we'll be working with wool, soap and water to create felted bowls. Using a resist method, we'll create a unique bowl using the feltmaking process.
