Landscape Embroidery: Stitch a Nature Patch  

Learn the meditative art of embroidery by stitching a gorgeous wool-felt patch! Start with the basics of embroidery, from choosing colors to threading needles and tying knots, then move into how to depict light and shape with thread. Beginners welcome.

  • Ages: Teen, Adult

  • Bring: Any field guides or inspiration photos you like.

Flexible Tuition:

  • Pay It Forward Price: $85 – I am able to pay the tuition with an additional donation to support SAFA’s programs.

  • Full Price: $60 – I can make the price work financially.

  • Discount Price: $48 – (limited availability): Paying full price would be a stretch for me financially.

  • For All Price: $35 – (limited availability): Paying the full tuition would be a significant financial hardship.

Our goal is to make these workshops accessible to all, while maintaining sustainability of both the Arts for All Initiative and Schoodic Arts for All as a non-profit organization, as well as supporting our teaching artists by paying them fairly.

We’ll start with the basics of embroidery, from choosing colors to threading needles and tying knots, then move into how to depict light and shape with thread. Students can bring images of elements of flora, fauna, or other nature elements that they love, or use one of the field guides the instructor will provide. Beginners welcome.
