Shibori

Japanese Tie-dyeing, or Shibori, is an ancient Japanese way to dye textiles, creating fabulous patterns on cloth, quilts, pillow covers, sheets – let your imagination go crazy! Utilize folding, binding, twisting, bunching, and stitching cloth, and then dyeing it.

  • Instructor: Diana Quinn

  • Ages: Teen, Adult

  • Bring: Bring your own natural fiber garments to dye. Wear OLD clothes and shoes.

Flexible Tuition:

  • Pay It Forward Price: $100 – I am able to pay the tuition with an additional donation to support SAFA’s programs.

  • Full Price: $75 – I can make the price work financially.

  • Discount Price: $60 – (limited availability): Paying full price would be a stretch for me financially.

  • For All Price: $45 – (limited availability): Paying the full tuition would be a significant financial hardship.

Our goal is to make these workshops accessible to all, while maintaining sustainability of both the Arts for All Initiative and Schoodic Arts for All as a non-profit organization, as well as supporting our teaching artists by paying them fairly.
