Creative Machine Quilting
Yes you can! Machine quilt on your home machine. Award winning quilter will teach you how to create your own designs. (*optional additional purchase of free motion quilting equipment provided by instructor will be available in the class.)
When: Wednesday, July 22
Instructor: Pat LaPierre
Ages: Teen, Adult (*Knowledge of machine sewing is required)
Bring: One yard plain or mottled fabric; starch and iron dry, leaving the factory fold; 21x36 batting will fit exactly; anchor together with 8 or 10 safety pins; 50 weight cotton thread in bobbin; poly, rayon, or cotton thread for top. Bring some "fun" colors; free motion foot for your machine. If you purchase one just before class, be certain that it fits your machine; please be sure you come to class with a foot pedal, cord, and instruction manual; water soluable marker (usually blue); the supreme slider (available in class at discount); scissors of course! Pat will bring the chocolate!

Pay It Forward Price: $155 – I am able to pay the tuition with an additional donation to support SAFA’s programs.
Full Price: $130 – I can make the price work financially.
Discount Price: $98 – (limited availability): Paying full price would be a stretch for me financially.
For All Price: $65 – (limited availability): Paying the full tuition would be a significant financial hardship.
Our goal is to make these workshops accessible to all, while maintaining sustainability of both the Arts for All Initiative and Schoodic Arts for All as a non-profit organization, as well as supporting our teaching artists by paying them fairly.
