Sculpting the Maine Landscape in Clay Relief

Create an imaginative sculpture inspired by the Maine landscape. Translate your favorite trees, seascapes, and views into a clay relief wall sculpture. Learn successful hand-building techniques and explore texture, perspective and color to achieve a skillfully completed sculpture. Beginners welcome!

  • When: Tuesday, July 28 (12:30-4:30) and August 4 (12:30-4:00)

  • Instructor: Randy Fein

  • Ages: Teen, Adult

  • Bring: All materials provided. Please bring an image of a specific tree or trees, or landscape views that you find inspiring.

  • Location: Combs Studio, 56 Main Street, Prospect Harbor, ME 04669

Flexible Tuition:

  • Pay It Forward Price: $190 – I am able to pay the tuition with an additional donation to support SAFA’s programs.

  • Full Price: $165 – I can make the price work financially.

  • Discount Price: $128 – (limited availability): Paying full price would be a stretch for me financially.

  • For All Price: $90 – (limited availability): Paying the full tuition would be a significant financial hardship.

Our goal is to make these workshops accessible to all, while maintaining sustainability of both the Arts for All Initiative and Schoodic Arts for All as a non-profit organization, as well as supporting our teaching artists by paying them fairly. 

Create imaginative clay relief wall sculpture inspired by your love of the Maine landscape. Artist Randy Fein, will guide you on your journey in how to translate your favorite trees, seascapes, and landscape views into an imaginative clay relief wall sculpture for your home and garden. Participants will learn successful hand-building techniques in slab construction and explore texture, perspective and color to achieve a skillfully completed sculpture. All levels are welcome especially beginners in clay !
