Black Walnut: Making Ink to Mark Making

Discover walnut ink. Sharon Stanger shares her method for making ink from black walnut shells. Lisa Salsbury guides you through artistic techniques using the ink and flexible nib dip pens.

  • Bring: All materials provided.  Please wear an apron or old clothes and latex or nitrile gloves, black walnut stains.

Flexible Tuition:

  • Pay It Forward Price: $92 – I am able to pay the tuition with an additional donation to support SAFA’s programs.

  • Full Price: $67 – I can make the price work financially.

  • Discount Price: $52 – (limited availability): Paying full price would be a stretch for me financially.

  • For All Price: $37 – (limited availability): Paying the full tuition would be a significant financial hardship.

Our goal is to make these workshops accessible to all, while maintaining sustainability of both the Arts for All Initiative and Schoodic Arts for All as a non-profit organization, as well as supporting our teaching artists by paying them fairly.
