Steven Valleau
Teaching Artist
Steven Valleau has been teaching bird carving at the Wendell Gilley Museum in Southwest Harbor since 1985. His interest in birds and woodworking extend back to his childhood. He studied Biology and Art at the University of Maine and Indiana University. His Carving focuses on the joy of working in wood and our relationships to birds. He lives in Lamoine, Maine with his wife and two cats.
