Steve Sliwinski
Teaching Artist
Steve made his first of over forty annual visits to Down East in 1980 when he enrolled in a watercolor workshop offered in Winter Harbor. He works primarily in watercolor but also creates one of a kind jewelry utilizing sterling silver, gold, and exotic woods. Steve is a veteran teacher who has taught students from kindergarten to college.
Steve’s paintings have been exhibited Nationally in exhibits including “The Chautauqua National Exhibition of American Art”, The “National Watercolor Society”, and was a selected exhibitor of the “Centennial Exhibition of the National Society of Mural Painters” held in NYC. He lives in Pennsylvania in a passive solar home that he designed and built in 1978. Steve holds a Master’s degree in Art Education.
